The Rendezvous

While out on the town for a night of fun with friends, you might reconsider going to this gentlemens club. As we came around the corner to walk into the bar, there were two men attacking two younger females. One of the men had the woman on the ground in the middle of the street and was choking her. The other male punched the other female in the face and was trying to wrestle her to the ground. The bouncers looked confused and were trying help but were not doing the job that they should have done. We stood back as others pulled the men back. The two younger women were obviously sisters and people around were yelling at the men to stay away from these girls. I was slightly intrigued as to why the bouncers were not helping. After a few minutes of over hearing police officers and witnesses. We learned that the two men were the owner and manager of the bar. They were highly intoxicated and the poor girls were just standing in the wrong spot at the wrong time. After much disgust of these men, we didn't even go into the bar and never will.

I used to work at both the Torch and Rendezvous. First off, they are completely separate in many ways. Mainly, the Torch was run by people who understand business ethics and have some sort of decency and intelligence. Rendezvous, however, was bought by a bunch of dairy farmers that are just trying to use the establishment as their own personal playground in order to get a piece of ass. The owner has been sued for sexual harassment and drives out customers all the time by trying to get with them. Not that it has anything to do with the business, but just so you can get an idea of who is actually running this place. Rendezvous has done absolutely nothing original and the few ideas they do have they run into the ground. Every time I go in there it seems like the DJs are just screaming at people over the microphone. It has FAIL written all over it. Sure, patrons of the bar might stand up for it because they feel like this place is a great bar, but they never saw it in its prime. The Torch has come and gone, and I think it is time for Rendezvous to come to an end as well. It has nothing to do with what type of a place it actually is, just how it is ran and how unbelievably overpriced it is. I had worked there for just about a year and they had raised the prices at least three separate times. That just shows how desperate they are. The nightclub scene just isn't what it used to be anymore and frankly I am tired of the same old s**t. We need a nightclub like in a bigger city that actually has a decent environment and atmosphere. It doesn't have to be super high end, but something different would be nice. This community is so awesome, why not give it a boost?
