The Coeur d'Alene City Park is by far the most well known and well used of all of the city's parks. Its roughly 15,000 square foot playground was designed by the children of Coeur d'Alene and is a multi-leveled wooden structure made to resemble Fort Sherman. The old growth trees create a beautiful canopy of shade over most of the park making it an ideal picnic location, even in the heat of the summer.
