total starters?

Do we know how many actually started the race?

How many actually started the race

I haven't seen any stats on how many people actually started the race. If anyone knows, it'd be a cool bit of information to share.

According to Ironman's finishing times website, 487 people registered for Ironman CdA did not post swim times. Of those, I'm not certain which didn't participate, didn't qualify, or stopped competing. If we assume none of them participated at all, total starts were in the neighborhood of 2,300 people.
