Heyburn State Park

Size: 5,500 acres of land and 2,300 acres of water
Amenities: Numerous campsites (some with electricity, water, and sewer at the site), restrooms, showers, cabins, boat marinas.

Heyburn State Park is the oldest state park in the Pacific Northwest. It sits at the southern end of Lake Coeur d'Alene where the banks of the St. Joe river jut out into the lake creating one of the most beautiful areas in North Idaho.

Camping

The park has 132 camp sites in three campgrounds: Chatcolet, Hawleys Landing and Benewah. Campsites start at around $12.00 a night for tents and up to $22 a night for RVs. Cabins are also available for $115 a night. Campsites can be reserved by calling (866) 634-3246.

Farragut State Park

Size: 4,000 Acres
Amenities: Boat launches, beaches, biking and hiking trails, model airplane flying field, disc golf course, shooting range, restrooms, picnic areas.

Farragut State Park sits on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille and offers a wide array of outdoors adventure. It's about a 20 minute drive north of Coeur d'Alene, just east of the town of Athol.
